BEAMSHOT Laser sights

Greenbeam
- True day/night laser
- Quick target acquisition
- Easy to track/ambush moving threats with multiple hits
- Does not eliminate the accessibility of iron sights if needed
- In certain situations, may limit operator exposure to threats (operator safety)
- Less lethal applications (Pepperball, 37/40 mm launcher, SAGE Intl.)
- Excellent in masked operations (does not compromise peripheral vision)
- Accurately deliver chemical agents
- Psychological effect by intimidation

Like any other piece of equipment, the Greenbeam has its place. There is no one piece of equipment or tactic that can be applied to resolve every situation. It is incumbent on the operator to apply a certain piece of equipment to a given situation if practical. It is definitely the one piece of equipment to have and not need than need and not have. The Greenbeam is far more superior to any red laser due to its versatility in day and night application. The red laser still offers an inexpensive laser sighting solution but is not as versatile as the Greenbeam.

Common misconceptions of lasers

We don't use lasers because they will give your position away.
This is true for all light emitting equipment such as tactical flashlights and lasers. However the use of this type of equipment comes down to training and light discipline. You use it when you can apply it!

The use of a laser will only promote poor weapon handling.
Again this tends to come down to training and the discipline of the operator.

Law Enforcement Agencies are reluctant to outfit their officers with lasers due to public perception.

You need to think outside the box on this one. The primary objective, by any LE agency during any situation where deadly force could be used, is a peaceful resolution. This may not always be the case but peace through intimidation by use of a laser can only help the cause. A laser can provide the type of intimidation that can encourage a peaceful resolution.

Lasers have no place in Law Enforcement or Military operations.
To the contrary, lasers are a very versatile and viable tool in both Military and LE applications. Lasers are excellent in any masked operation where an operator may have difficulty using alternate sighting systems. When using a laser, the speed of target engagement is increased without sacrificing accuracy.

In short the Greenbeam is one of those products that is better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

Like any other piece of equipment, the Greenbeam has its place. There is no one piece of equipment or tactic that can be applied in every situation. It is incumbent on the user to apply his equipment to a given situation. It is definitely the one piece of equipment to have and not need than need and not have. The Greenbeam will make the red laser obsolete due to its versatility in day and night application, in lethal or less-lethal situations. The red laser still offers an inexpensive laser sighting solution but is not as versatile as the Greenbeam.
